Open tables

Prototype by team HELPS for VISCon 2026 — a tool VIS could run for its members. Lecture times, rooms and menus are live public ETH data. Some tables are simulated demo activity. No location tracking: a table shows only the place its host typed, and disappears when it ends.

What should people call you?

First name or nickname. Shown on tables you open or join — nothing else.

In VIS production this comes from your ETH login (via VSETH SSO), so every table host is a real student. Here it's just a name.

It lives for a while, then disappears. No chat — people just show up.
